This year your students will learn so much in the first 6 weeks of playing, it will seem like a jet taking off. Please take advantage of these performance opportunities. Students in 7th/8th grade will have the opportunity to perform in Solo and Ensemble in the month of January/February. We are hopeful for our annual 7th and 8th grade band trip as well as our annual Cedar Point trip this year!!įor our 7th and 8th grade students, we will be restarting the Jazz Band as well as Percussion Ensemble this year. We are looking forward to our normal performances, including the 8th grade night with the Patriot Bands, our Night of Fright performance, Winter Concert, Festival, and Spring Concert. For those of you who are new to the Carter Band Program, welcome and we are glad to have you join us! The Carter Band Program consists of many talented young musicians in our Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Cadet Band and after school Jazz Band/Percussion Ensemble. The next opportunity to see the band perform is this upcoming Friday, October 8, at the Cedar Springs homecoming football game. Senior Drum Major Gabe White says, “It was so nice to see the stadium as full as it was! It’s been amazing to see the community support that we’ve had this year! And a special thanks to all of the band volunteers who made it all possible!” ![]() Whitehall took second with a score of 83.3, Montague came in third with 79.3 and Oakridge placed in fourth with a score of 64.7.įulton was the only school in class D to attend and scored 57.4.Ĭedar Springs performed their show, The Eternal Circus, for exhibition only.įollowing the invitational, Cedar Springs, Fulton and Tri-County participated in the parade. In class C Tri-County scored 86.7 to place in first. Ionia scored 83.7 to place second and Kenowa Hills scored 79.8 to place in third. In class B, Otsego took first place with a score of 92.2. ![]() On Saturday, October 2, the Red Hawks welcomed nine marching bands from across the region to host the 61st Red Flannel Invitational.
